David Peat is a theoretical physicist and a friend and colleague of David Bohm.
Together they wrote Science, Order and Creativity and were working on The Order Between and Beyond until Bohm’s death in 1992. He has since written Bohm’s biography Infinite Potential.
In addition to his work in theoretical physics Peat has organized meetings between Native Canadians and Western Scientists, as well as between artists and scientists. He also created a twenty one-hour radio series of interviews on the history of modern physics for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
In 2000 Peat founded the Pari Center for New Learning which runs international conferences, courses and a visitors program.
Peat is the author of over twenty books, he is an adjunct full professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies, a fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science, a fellow of the International Futures Forum, an honorary member of the scientific committee of the Club of Budapest and a distinguished fellow of the SARCHI chair, University of South Africa.
